Scope Limitation Policy

Effective May 2026
In plain English

The clearest way to keep a project on time and on budget is to be honest about what's inside the scope and what isn't. Here's how we define it.

§01

What scope means

Scope is the written list of pages, sections, features, and deliverables agreed at the start of your project. It's documented in your intake confirmation and is the reference we both work from.

§02

Typically inside scope

  • The pages and sections listed in your intake.
  • Mobile, tablet, and desktop responsive layouts.
  • Contact form connected to your email.
  • Basic on-page SEO (titles, descriptions, structured data).
  • Standard performance and accessibility passes.
  • Connection to your domain at launch.
§03

Typically outside scope

  • Custom integrations with third-party CRMs, booking systems, or APIs.
  • E-commerce, member areas, or login systems.
  • Copywriting beyond light polish of what you provide.
  • Logo design, full brand identity, or custom photography.
  • Ongoing content updates after launch.
  • Paid advertising, ad campaigns, or media buying.
§04

How scope changes are handled

If a new request would expand the scope, we say so before starting. You'll see a clear note on what changes, what it costs, and how it affects the timeline. Nothing is added quietly.

§05

Why this exists

Scope creep is the most common reason website projects fail. A clear scope protects the budget, the timeline, and the quality of the finished product — on both sides.
